I was born in Germany, grew up outside of Princeton, New Jersey, and earned a degree as a photo major from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). I’ve been working as a photographer since 1982, and my work has appeared in Architectural Record, Interior Design, the Princeton Architectural Press, and the New York Times Magazine, among other places.

Catching the light and making images that have a lasting impact that I can be comfortable with is what it’s all about for me. With this blog, I hope to share some of my thoughts on photography, architecture, and working as a professional in these fields. I welcome any feedback and discussion. Thanks for looking!
